13. Using the 61 SA - TOOL, tighten the spill container(s) onto the riser(s) with a minimum torque of 125 ft. -lbs. and a maximum torque of 250 ftAbs. 14. The bolt holes in the multi -port cover must line up with the bolt holes in the containment bucket mounting ring. 15. Maintenance or as needed: Apply an even bead of PISCES SL -1100 onto the bottom of the mounting ring before assembling the containment bucket mounting ring and the mounting ring onto the multi -port cover. Install the beveled thread seal flat washer and the thread seal washer onto the bolts for the mounting ring. (See Figure 5.) Note: Install the beveled thread seal flatwasher on the bolt with the beveled surface away from the bolt head. Install the thread seal washer to seat between the flat washer and the mounting ring. 17. Apply PISCES SL -1100 to each bolt prior to inserting them into the mounting ring. 18. Tighten the mounting ring retaining bolts until the containment bucket gasket makes contact with the multi -port cover. Then, in a crossing pattern, torque the bolts down between 15 to 20 ftAbs. Figure 6 POMECO Multi port Spill Container 19. Apply an even bead of PISCES SL -1100 around the 5/16" hex bolts after final tightening. 20. Install the spill bucket covers. (See Figure 6.) 21. (Optional): Install the product identification disc on the spill bucket cover and multi -port cover in the I.D. disc recess. 22. Cover the multi -port perimeter ring and cover with plastic to prevent concrete from settling in the drainage areas. 23. It is required that the perimeter ring and skirt assembly, and the multi -port cover be set as an assembled unit, with the bolts engaged. Failure to engage the bolts may result in the distortion of the ring and improper fit of the ring to cover after the concrete is poured. 24. When pouring the concrete, hand shovel or trowel the concrete around the multi -port assembly to prevent the unit from moving or shifting, which can cause alignment problems and future maintenance problems. Note: Do not stand on the multi -port before the concrete has set up. 25. It is recommended that the paved contours around POMECO covers be adequately sloped to direct water flow away from the cover, and directing water runoff from adjacent areas away from POMECO covers. (See Figure 7.) Figure 7 26. Remove the plastic after the concrete has set up. 27. After installation is complete, water test the multi -port fixture. The recommended water test procedures include: a) Spraying water on cover(s) for 5 to 10 minutes, using a commonly available watering device such as a lawn sprinkler. b) Standing water test, not to exceed '/z" in water depth for a period of 5 to 10 minutes. Note: The containment bucket consists of three components steel top ring, bellows, and bucket bottom. These parts are held together with stainless steel retaining bands. Page 3
