Notification shall be <br />provided to the EHD person or by certified mail, with return receipt requested, before initiating this process. The <br />notification shall include, but not limited to, all of the following information: <br />- name, identification number, site address, mailing address, and telephone number of the handler <br />- description of the aerosol can processing activities, including the type and estimated volumes or quantities <br />of aerosol cans to be processed monthly, the treatment process, equipment description, and design capacities <br />- description of the characteristics and management of any hazardous waste residuals <br />The facility decided to stop puncturing aerosol cans during the inspection. <br />Aerosol cans are punctured and any remaining liquid is drained onto rags. No operating procedures have been <br />developed and implemented. Aerosol cans may be processed only if a universal waste handler ensures that the <br />processing operations are performed safely by developing and implementing a written operating procedure <br />detailing the safe processing of aerosol cans.
