Facilities shall be <br /> maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or <br /> surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean the staining, and manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining <br /> how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 302 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain required emergency equipment. <br /> Any spills are contained by dirt from the outside. The facility did not have any other absorbent on site.All facilities <br /> shall be equipped with an internal communication or alarm system, a device capable of calling outside emergency <br /> help, spill control equipment, and decontamination equipment at all times. Immediately provide absorbent <br /> equipment and maintain on site. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> The secondary containment for the used oil tank contained a dark black liquid and some saturated debris. All facility <br /> communications or alarm systems,fire protection equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment,where required, shall be tested and maintained as necessary to assure its proper operation in time of <br /> emergency. Immediately clean out the secondary containment and begin this practice. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 304 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain adequate aisle space for unobstructed response to emergencies. <br /> The used oil tank was blocked by machinery and several pallets of material. Adequate aisle space shall be <br /> maintained to allow the unobstructed movement of personnel,fire protection, spill control equipment, and <br /> decontamination equipment to all areas of facility operation in an emergency. Immediately maintain aisle space to <br /> allow the unobstructed movement of personnel,fire protection, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br /> equipment to any area of facility operation in an emergency. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 406 CCR 66261.7 Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being emptied. <br /> One black 55 gallon steel drum was observed without an empty label. Containers larger than five gallons that <br /> previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year <br /> of being emptied.
