Lodi CA 95242 <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS 1, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />On site to conduct a routine hazardous waste (HW) inspection. <br />84. The box of universal waste (UW) lamps had a date of 1-22-10. A UW handler shall accumulate UW <br />for no longer than one year from the date the UW was generated, or was received from another UW <br />handler. A UW handler shall be able to demonstrate the length of time that the UW has been <br />accumulated from the date it became a waste or was received. The UW handler may make this <br />demonstration by: <br />(1) Placing the UW in a container and marking or labeling the container with the earliest date that any <br />UW in the container became a waste or was received. <br />(2) Marking or labeling the individual item of UW with the date it became a waste or was received. <br />(3) Maintaining an inventory system on site that identifies the date the UW being accumulated became a <br />waste or was received. <br />(4) Maintaining an inventory system on site that identifies the earliest date that any UW in a group of <br />items of UW or group of containers of UW became a waste or was received; <br />(5) Placing the UW in a specific accumulation area and marking or labeling the area to identify the <br />earliest date that any UW in the area became a waste or was received; or <br />(6) Any other method which clearly demonstrates the length of time that the UW has been accumulated <br />from the date it became a waste or was received. <br />Correct immediately by properly disposing of these UW lamps. Submit a copy of the disposal record to <br />this office by 6-6-11. Continue to ensure that UW is disposed of within one year of becoming UW. <br />Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />Note: the following were corrected during the inspection. <br />20. The drums of 3 poly drums of HW test water did not have marked the physical state. All hazardous <br />waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Employee corrected this during the inspection by marking liquid.
