Client: Mr. William Huang QCI#: G-93-803
Project: Proposed Huang Layer Ranch Holding Ponds Page 2
The specified testing consisted of the hydrometer analyses for soil
samples according to ASTM D422 Standard Test Method for Particle-
Size Analysis of Soils. The purpose of the testing was to
determine if the soil samples contained a minimum of 10 percent
clay and less than 10 percent gravel. ASTM D422 specifies the
reporting limit for clay particles as 0. 005 mm or less, and gravel
size as 4 .75 mm or greater. The tabulation of relevant test data,
and a semi-log graph illustrating the test results follow this
narrative. As can be noted, the hydrometer test results indicate
a clay content of 20. 1%, 12 . 2%, 18 .4% and 20. 6% for ponds "A" , "B" O'
11C111 and the low area, respectively. sieve analyses prior to
hydrometer testing reveal zero percent gravel for each pond and the
low area.
We appreciate the opportunity to provide this service for you. If
you should have any questions regarding this report, please feel
free to contact us.
Respectfully submitted,
QUALITY CONTROL ,INSPECTION, INC.
J ss Wry, P.E.
Don Ches ey, R.E.A.
Proj ect Coordinator T""V'"-7"V).
