07 October 2013
AGE Project No. 13-2914
soil-vapor sample collected from B2.
Analytical results of soil samples are summarized in Table 1;analytical results of soil-vapor
samples are summarized in Table 2. The laboratory reports (CTEL Project Nos. CT214-
1309087, 13090878, and 1309082),quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC)reports,
and chain of custody forms are included in Appendix B.
CONCLUSIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the data collected from this investigation, AGE concludes:
• PCE was detected at low concentrations (0.01 through 0.14 mg/kg) in shallow soil
samples collected from borings B1 through B4 (one foot bsg in B1 through B4 and
four feet bsg in B2).The PCE detections are below the San Francisco Bay Regional
Water Quality Control Board Environmental Screening Level (SFBRWQCB ESL)
residential and commercial values of 0.55 mg/kg and 0.70 mg/kg, respectively.
• PCE was detected at a concentration of 1.0 pg/I in the soil-vapor sample collected
from B1; the PCE detection is just above the California Human Health Screening
Level (CHHSL) commercial value of 0.603 pg/I for PCE in soil-vapor.
Based on the samples collected from the site, AGE recommends that a human health risk
assessment (HHRH) be prepared for shallow soil-vapor samples, using the soil-vapor
concentration detected in boring B1.
LIMITATIONS
AGE's professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily
exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings
were based primarily upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory.
Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic conditions at the subject property for the
purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of available data points(i.e.,
soil borings, soil samples, soil-vapor samples)and subsurface conditions may vary beyond
these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
