ground surface as often as required in a fashion which will not allow for runoff into surface water.
Alternatively, a peristaltic pump using dedicated polypropylene tubing at each well may be used for
purging and sampling. After purging, groundwater samples will be collected from the sampling device
(bailer or peristaltic pump) directly into appropriate sample containers. All samples will be stored on
ice and transported, under proper chain of custody,to the laboratory for analysis. It is anticipated
that samples will be analyzed at Presicion Laboratory Inc.,Stockton, California. A log of gauging,
purging and sampling activities will be completed for each well by the sampler, using a field report
sheet similar to the one included in Appendix B.
Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) samples (i.e., field blanks, trip blanks, laboratory
blanks) are not anticipated for use during this project, but may be collected if the groundwater
professional overseeing sampling activities determines a need for QA/QC sample analysis.
Table 1:Anal cal Re uirements for Groundwater Samples
Test Parameter DLR Unit Method Frequency
H unit EPA 150.1 Quarterly
Total Dissolved Solids 1.0 mg/Lmg/L EPA 160.1 Quarterly
Nitrate as N 0.20 mg/Lmg/L EPA 300.0 Quarterly
Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen 0.20 mg/Lmg/L EPA 351.2 Quarterly
Total Alkalin 1.0 mg/Lmg/L EPA 310.1 Annuall
Carbonate Alkalin 1.0 mg/ EPA 310.1 Annually
Bicarbonate Alkalin 1.0 mg/ EPA 310.1 Annually
Hydroxide Alkalin 1.0 mg/Lmg/L EPA 310.1 Annually
Calcium 1.0. mg/Lmg/L EPA 200.7 Annually
Chloride 1.0 mg/Lmg/L EPA 300.0 Annually
Hardness as CaCO3 6.6 mg/L mg/LCalc. Those reports shall include all field sampling logs and laboratory analytical report sheets for
the most recent monitoring event, a tabular times series presentation of cumulative monitoring data
(well gauging and analytical results) for each constituent at each monitoring well, a narrative
discussion of actual procedures used during the sampling event, maps showing the analytical results at
8
