each well and the hydraulic gradient, and a comparison of analytical results to applicable water quality
standards.
Every fourth Quarterly Report shall be expanded into an Annual Report. The annual report shall
include the Quarterly Report for the most recent groundwater sampling event, plus a comprehensive
evaluation of the wastewater generation and application operations. The Annual Report will include,
but not be limited to, an expanded groundwater sampling list (see Table 1),the volume of all winery
wastes generated during the year,a discussion of any needed improvements to the wastewater
application system, and a discussion of the effectiveness of the system especially as it pertains to the
quality of groundwater at the site and the agronomic application of waste.
After a total of 16 independent groundwater samples have been collected, a statistical comparison of
up-gradient and down-gradient groundwater quality will be conducted as part of the`Background
Groundwater Quality Study Report"required by Item G.1.g.in the Order. The statistical comparison
will employ one of the methods identified in Tide 27, §20415(e)(10) or equivalent.
All reports of groundwater quality will be prepared under the direct supervision of a Registered
Geologist or Registered Engineer.
7.0 Proposed Time Schedule
Certain technical reports and activities required by the Order have,to date, not been completed. The
proposed time schedule has been developed in order to bring the Facility into compliance in as short
as time as possible. The proposed time schedule differs from that contained in the Order.
Jessie's Grove Winery and Neil O.Anderson and Associates is prepared to install monitoring wells
and report on well installation by March 1, 2005 provided approval of this work plan is received
within 4 business days of its submittal.
The first monitoring well sampling event will be scheduled for 2 weeks after well development is
complete, and would include the annual parameter list. The first quarterly monitoring report would
therefore be for the second quarter 2005 and would be submitted 30 days after sampling.Annual
monitoring reports would be submitted during the second quarter of every year.
9
