ARCADIS Mr. McKinley Lewis, Jr.
April 20, 2011
Task 3) Sample Domestic Water Well
Following removal of the submersible pump and associated equipment, the idle
domestic water supply well will be monitored for total depth, depth to
groundwater, and groundwater field parameters prior to sampling using low-flow
techniques. Groundwater samples will be collected after the well has been
purged using low-flow techniques and groundwater parameters have stabilized.
Groundwater will be contained in a 55-gallon drum at the Site. ARCADIS does
not anticipate generating more than 30 to 50 gallons of water using this method.
Groundwater samples will be collected for the following, as indicated in Table 1.
• pH using EPA Method 9045D
• VOCs using EPA Method 8260B
• SVOCs using EPA Method 8270C,
• TPH using EPA Method 801513, and
• Total metals and dissolved metals using EPA Method 6020.
Task 4) Fence Repair
A licensed fence contractor will repair damage and breached fence locations
identified in the southwestern corner of the Site_
• Ten lineal feet of wood and 10 lineal feet of 6-foot-high galvanized
fencing will be replaced at the southwestern corner of the Site.
• Two fence installers will complete the work in approximately one day.
• Concrete surrounding the fence posts will set up sufficiently in
approximately 24 hours.
Task 5) Weed Abatement
Weed abatement is proposed to be conducted between May and June 2011
following the rainy season as follows:
Page:
Final PEA Wo&Plan Addendum-ApO t-RV009008.doc 7/11
