OCT 16 '03 15:0? FR COSTCO GASOLINE 425 427 7119 TO 912094683433 P.06i09
]ECS Fuel Fiber Recycling Program BMP
20. Make sure the bypass valve is in the off position.
21. Attach the old filter to the ECS FFP adapter. HAND TIGHTEN ONLY!
22. Open the valve on the FM 186 -FF canister by squeezing the handle to add
FM186-FF working solution to the old filter. Allow the displaced product
(gasoline) to flow into the recycle cup.
23.At the first indication of blue FM 186 -FF leaving the filter, move the hose
from the recycle cup to the reuse container. Transfer the displaced
product (gasoline) to the recycle container for return to the underground
storage tanks.
24. The recycle cup can then be used to measure the amount of working solution
that passes through the filter. Fill the recycle cup with working solution and
then pour this into the tub.
25. All of the FM 186 -FF working solution goes into the reuse container. There
is only a small volume of gas present in a well -drained filter. The FM 186 -
FF working solution has the capacity to absorb this easily.
26. Stop the feed of FM 186 -FF by closing the stainless steel valve and slowly
release the pressure on the inlet side by opening the bypass valve. When
pressure is released unscrew the filter. Shut the bypass valve.
27. Dump the excess FM 186 -FF cleaning solution into the reuse container.
Then immerse the filter in the working solution. This will remove the gas
trapped behind the gasket. Remove the filter and drain thoroughly.
-5-
