Section I: Plan Introduction Elements JAN J 12019 Purpose and Scope of Plan Coverage I74MIVfMF TAL Costco Wholesale is a membership -only retail warehouse selling primarily pre-packaged consum N`f primary hazards associated with this facility are both physical and health hazards typically resulting o incidental releases of hazardous materials consisting almost solely of pre-packaged consumer products. The chemicals exhibit varying hazard characteristics including, but not limited to: flammables and combustibles; corrosives; unstable-reactives and water-reactives; oxidizers; irritants; and chemicals classified as posing other health hazards. Although this facility is designed, constructed, maintained, and operated in a manner that minimizes the possibility for emergency incidents such as fire, explosions, and any unplanned sudden or non- sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous waste constituents to air, soil or surface water, this plan is designed to minimize hazards to human health and the environment in the unlikely event of such incidents. This plan is being developed to comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including the 22 CCR 66262.34(a)(4) and 66265.51-.55 and 40 CFR 262 Subpart M. This plan is required for Large -Quantity Generators of RCRA hazardous waste. A copy of this plan is to be on file in the Warehouse Administrative Office, and gas station. A copy of the plan has been filed with all applicable regulators or emergency responders.
