Heran, Director
San Joaquin County Environmental Health
304 E. Weber
Stockton, CA 95202-2708
RE: Olivera Egg Farm—952 W. Bowman Road,French Camp, CA
Dear Ms. Heran,
Thank you for meeting with Mr. Muller and me yesterday. We appreciated your time and
courtesy. If you have any questions about my letter and its attachments/photos,please
call me at(209)992-8090.
1 would like to request your cooperation on a couple of follow-up items, relative to
comments made by Robert McClellon. Robert mentioned that in April of this year,he
had requested that Mr. Olivera submit a"Manure Management Plan". I would like to
know the following:
1. Was your department's request to Mr. Olivera made in writing?
2. Was Mr. Olivera given a deadline for submitting the Plan?
3. at follow-up contact was made with Mr. Olivera, asking for his compliance?
Was this follow-up contact in writing or by telephone?
4. Last, when this Manure Management Plan is submitted, will it be reviewed by
your department, and if so,by whom? And will it become a part of the Public
File? I would like to review it, and compare it to the requirements placed upon
Mr. Olivera by Santa Clara County at the Canada Road site.
One of the questions I brought up yesterday had to do with the records or logs of
telephoned complaints on the Bowman Road facility. I understand the need to keep the
names of the complainants confidential. But I do want to know the frequency, dates and
nature of the complaints, if that information can be made available.
