The Environmental Health Department (EHD) requires that the facility install a
misting system that uses odor masking/neutralizing agents. The system shall be
installed and operational prior to actual operation of the facility.
M. The EHD requires that the facility establish an account for the disposal of the manure
in a landfill permitted to accept this type of waste. The facility will be allowed to
maintain the manure onsite in accordance with the approved Manure Management
Plan. However, if the facility is unable to find an approved reuse for the manure
within 6 months, the manure must be disposed of in the landfill. The facility shall
provide the EHD with a report showing the final deposition of the manure, whether
by land application at agronomic rates or landfill disposal. The report shall be
submitted to the EHD by the first day of February following the previous calendar
year.
