Seal top of <br /> gravel pack with 2 feet of bentonite pellets or fine sand placed on <br /> top of pack . Both the gravel pack and bentonite pellet seal shall <br /> be emplaced through a tremie line. A sounder will be used <br /> frequently, to verify proper placement of the gravel pack and <br /> bentonite seal . The annular space between the casing and the <br /> borehole and between the casing and the protective casing shall be <br /> filled by tremieing a cement grout into the annular space from the <br /> bottom until grout is observed flowing at the surface . <br /> 3 . 5 WELL DEVELOPMENT: All completed wells shall be developed by <br /> either pumping, pump surging, vented surge blocks, air lifting <br /> through PVC piping inserted into the well , or a combination of these <br /> methods depending on hole depth and physical conditions . During <br /> pump surging, a pump without a check valve shall be used such that a <br /> surging action can be achieved with backflowing water . Pumping or <br /> air lifting should be able to achieve 100 gpm from a 100-foot depth. <br /> Development water shall be released through a hose into existing <br /> stormwater collection points . <br />■ <br />■ <br /> i <br />
