CLOSURE ACTIVITIES <br />Work Performed <br />On April 3, 2007 21 st Century EMI removed cyanide tank contents and pressure washed the tank <br />interior. The waste was transported and disposed. <br />On May 5, 2007 21 st Century EMI removed the remaining tank contents and bath residuals. 21 st <br />Century EMI containerized the cyanide containing floor salts and zinc cyanide powder. The <br />waste was transported and disposed. <br />On May 6, 2007, the plating shop operator (Reggie Mason) started removal of wooden wet <br />decks. The wet decks were staged on one pallet and stored inside the shop for future disposal. <br />Concrete tank support blocks were placed on two pallets for future disposal. The empty plating <br />tanks were rinsed and all rinsate was collected and containerized for future disposal. The tanks <br />were cut to disposal specifications and staged on site for future disposal. The floor salts and <br />debris were placed in DOT super sacks. All visibly contaminated sheet rock was removed from <br />the shop wall and placed in DOT super sacks for future disposal. <br />On July 10, 2007, 21st Century EMI removed five DOT super sacks of shop floor solids, <br />miscellaneous debris, and salts. <br />On July 11, 2007, the plating shop operator (Reggie Mason) continued to clean and prepare the <br />area for pressure washing operations. <br />On July 17, 2007, 21 st Century EMI submitted samples of rinsate water from tank decon- <br />tamination and cement support block and wet deck solids for analytical testing. The materials <br />were tested for CAM 17 metals, RCI, and total cyanides. <br />On July 20, 2007, 21st Century EMI delivered one 275 -gallon liquid tote to store <br />decontamination rinse water. Pressure washing was completed on rafter and ceiling joists, floors <br />and walls in the office area and buffing room, and the plating area was pressure washed three <br />times. The concrete containment berm was removed and staged on a pallet for future disposal. <br />All rinsate was collected and stored in the 275 -gallon liquid tote for future disposal. <br />On July 26, 2007 another 275 -gallon liquid tote was delivered for decon water storage. This <br />would hold additional rinse water from a final pressure wash decontamination following the <br />removal of solid wastes. <br />On August 8, 2007, 21st Century EMI delivered a 20 cubic yard roll off bin. The cut up plating <br />tanks, wet deck wood debris, concrete tank supports, berm debris, and other accumulated solids <br />were placed in the bin and the bin transported to the disposal facility. <br />0837 CRpt 2 GRI <br />
