9 e
01Y Hazardous Waste Management
9MRK
HAZARDOUS WASTE INSPECTION PROCEDURES
1) MOD should ask for identification before allowing an inspection to take place.
2) MOD must accompany an Inspector during the entire inspection.
3) Answer all questions directly and truthfully. Do NOT guess or make up answers if you do not know the
answer, it is ok to say "I Don't Know".
4) All the documents that an inspector will ask to see should be located in the Hazardous Waste
Management Binder. It is very important to have the Hazardous Waste Management Binder
organized, updated with the latest documentation and readily available at all times.
5) Take notes of any comments or recommendations an inspector makes to inform the SSC.
6) Secure all documentation received from the Inspector (Inspection Report)
7) At the Conclusion of the Inspection, call your DM and PARM 855-784-3999 to report the inspection.
8) Fax all documentation to PARM 888-796-7469
MANAGER'S MARKDOWN SPECIAL
The Manager's Markdown Special Program was created to reduce the amount of Hazardous Waste
generated at the stores. This is beneficial to the environment and creates great value for our Customers.
Select damaged Hazardous items, which cannot be sold at full value, can be sold to Customers at a
reduced "Manager's Special" price.
These items must be in fair condition and a true value for the Customer. Items that are severely damaged or
are leaking should not be placed on a markdown and instead be placed into the corresponding Hazardous
Waste Tote.
STORE USE
Hazardous items which cannot be sold at full value, but can be used for store purposes such as cleaning,
should be designated as `Store Use'. This will also help to minimize the amount of Hazardous Waste that is
generated, which is beneficial to the environment.
• All store use items must be scrapped including Hazardous items.
• If you can use a damaged item for store purposes it is OK to "Store Use" these items
• Store cleaning supplies must have a designated storage area in a designated location
• Store Use items must have a pink "Store Use" label.
• All items designated as Hazardous must be completely empty before discarding into the trash.
Confidential Information. Property of 99¢Only Stores. Distribution limited to authorized personnel only.
02.14.18
