The tank is located within the building and therefore is not subject to climatic conditions. 3.6 Spill Prevention/Overfill JCCR§66265.192(k)(6)] The tank system is fitted with a Krueger Sentry Gauge that provides visual and audible signals when the tank is approximately 75%full. The fill monitoring system provides a flashing visual signal when the tank filling audible signal has been muted. The alarm system is tested by facility personnel once a month and was functional at time of inspection. The facility has developed and implemented a SPCC plan and Hazardous Materials Business Plan. Personnel inspect the tank system daily.A copy of the daily inspection worksheet is provided in Attachment 2. 3.7 Secondary Containment [CCR§66265.192(k)(7),(j)(1-3)] The bottom and side walls of the tank are double-walled; the top of the primary tank is single wall, however, is not likely to be the source of a leak as the tank is managed and operated to prevent the tank from being filled to capacity. The secondary containment is designed to provide a minimum of 110% capacity of the primary tank. There are no floor drains located within the servicing pit level of the facility. 3.8 Waste Characterization [CCR§66265.192(k)(8) & 192.(a)(2)] The tank is used to store used automotive motor oil, which is a hazardous waste that is considered combustible under certain conditions,and may contain metals. Jiffy Lube accepts used oil from customers and therefore it may contain solvents,antifreeze, and other automotive fluids. 3.9 Tank System Inspection [CCR§66265.192(k)(9)] The exposed tank walls,connections, and interstitial space were visually inspected on 6 January 2015 for weld cracksibreaks,corrosion, structural damage and/or inadequate construction/installation. During the inspection, there did not appear to be any visible presence or indication of weld cracks or breaks along the welded seams of the tank. Minor,superficial rust was noted on vertical surfaces in some areas upon inspection of the visible surfaces in the interstitial space.The superficial corrosion observed is not anticipated to significantly impact the integrity of the tank walls within the 5 year certification period. Also noted during the inspection was that the secondary containment tank walls along the tank's long axis were bowed outward approximately one(1)to two(2)inches,maximum. The top of the primary tank was also bowed outward approximately one(1)inch,maximum. The tank walls,as shipped from the manufacturer, are constructed perpendicular to each other and do not display any rounding or outward bowing.
