Used oil filters <br /> shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters,"and <br /> marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately drain and containerize the filters, label, and mark the date and <br /> ensure that all used oil filters are managed in this way. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Notes: <br /> -This facility has a new business owner as of 3/1/18. <br /> -The manager, Moe Salem, provided invoices for the used oil pick ups from American Valley Waste Oil, which <br /> amounted to 480 gallons since 3/1/18. He also provided an invoice for the pick up of used oil filters, which did <br /> not have a quantity in pounds or gallons. The amount of hazardous waste generated since 3/1/18 could not be <br /> determined due to lack of manifests for all waste streams. <br /> -Waste streams observed: used oil, used oil filters, waste antifreeze, metal shavings, oily rags, used absorbent, <br /> and lead acid batteries. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, by 8/29/18, 30 days from now. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials <br /> information online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov.
