Results
The results from the June 6 monitoring event indicated that the shallow and deep probes
at GW-6 were not in compliance (Table 1). However, after adjusting the LFG wells on
June 6 and clearing the probes on June 26, only the intermediate probe at GW-6 was not
in compliance.
Probe GW-6-intermediate contained levels of combustible gas which exceed the
regulatory limit during this monitoring period for the first time since third quarter 2002.
The nine wells in the vicinity of GW-6 are currently experiencing maximum collection
(Table 2). We believe that this exceedence is a minor fluctuation and this probe will
return to compliance.
Probe GW-6 deep is now in compliance (Figure 3).
It is our intent to control migration at GW-6 while also minimizing intrusion of air into
the landfill. The County will maintain maximum collection of LFG from that portion of
the system until the methane content at GW-6 is consistently below regulatory limits.
Corral Hollow Landfill September 15,2003
San Joaquin County 3 Quarterly LFG Monitoring
