Corral Hollow Landfill 2 <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Past Requests <br /> The Board's MRP review letter for the 3d Quarter 2001 SMR(Self Monitoring Report), dated 30 <br /> January 2002, requested the County include adequate documentation of the operation of the landfill gas <br /> collection system to facilitate the Regional Board staff in assessing its potential effects. This <br /> information was not included in the annual report. Neither did the County change the Sampling and <br /> Analysis Plan (SAP) to reflect EPA Method 7199 (ion chromatography) for hexavalent chromium be <br /> used instead of EPA Method 7196 (colorimetric) for future monitoring. <br /> Compliance with WDRs <br /> As of the date of this letter,we have not received the annual update of the financial demonstration <br /> required in WDRs which states: <br /> B. Financial Assurance Review <br /> 1. Annual Report of Financial Assurance for 30 April each year <br /> initiating and completing corrective action <br /> (see Provision F.10.) <br /> 2. Annual Report of Financial Assurance for 30 April each year <br /> closure and post-closure maintenance <br /> (see Provision F.11.) <br /> The County is required to provide financial assurances by I August 2002 to comply with WDRs Order <br /> No. 5-01-176. <br /> The attached Monitoring Report Compliance Checklist will be included in the case file for Corral <br /> Hollow Sanitary Landfill.
