JUS-30-2001 04:36P FROM:CWR INDUSTRIES 2093692703 TO:4688392 P:3/3
We have been in contact with the San Joaquin County Community Development
Department and spoke with Chandler Martin who verified there are no concerns
regarding this requested amendment relative to our Site Approval.
Proper record keeping of all incoming and outgoing commodities will continue to
be kept. These records are available for County review during normal business hours.
Pending approval of this request, the O.M. Scotts& Sons Company intends to
begin receiving unground greenwaste at our Linden facility effective August 1, 2001.
2. Increased Traf is Flow
Currently the facility permit allows a permitted traffic volume of 20 vehicles per
day hauling incoming waste materials. Because of anticipated periods where incoming
loads could exceed 20 vehicles per day,The Scotts Company requests this amendment to
allow a permitted traffic volume of 30 vehicles per day hauling incoming waste materials.
Because many of our incoming loads are smaller trucks, such as those utilized by
San Joaquin County Public Works, which haul minimum net weights, this higher traffic
volume will not cause any excess to the maximum permitted tons per day.
We have also been in contact with Chandler Martin at the San Joaquin County
Community Development Department regarding this requested changed. We learned
that, according to his files and records,we are currently permitted for a maximum of
twenty truck trips per hour(10 trucks entering and leaving), so he reported that he has
no problem with our request to amend the RCS1 to allow thirty(30)vehicles per day.
Proper record keeping of all incoming loads will continue to be maintained so as
to verify, on a daily basis, permitted tons per day and permitted incoming traffic volume
hauling waste materials will not be exceeded- These records are available for County
review during normal business hours.
In advance, thank you for your prompt attention to our request. You may reach
me at(209) 887-3845 with questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Aaron Leach
Plant Manager
