SA-93-41 <br /> Dear Mr. Aaron Leach: <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division has reviewed and <br /> conditionally approved your Amendment to Report of Compost Site Information (RCSI) dated August 1St <br /> 2001.The conditions of approval are as follows: <br /> 1) All composting activities shall be conducted in a manner that minimizes vectors, odor impacts, litter, <br /> hazards, nuisances, and noise impacts; and minimizes human contact with, inhalation, ingestion, and <br /> transportation of dust, particulates, and pathogenic organisms. (14CCR 17867 (a)(2)). <br /> 2) The operator shall provide fire prevention, protection and control measures, including, but not limited <br /> to, temperature monitoring of windrows and piles, adequate water supply for fire suppression, and the <br /> isolation of potential ignition sources from combustible materials. A fire lane of a minimum of 12 feet <br /> in width shall be provided to allow access to all operation areas. (14 CCR 17867 (b)(1)). <br /> 3) The operator shall record the quantity and type of feedstock received and quantity of compost and <br /> chipped and ground material produced. (14 CCR 17869 (d)). <br /> 4) Any violations may result in this Amended RCSI to be modified, suspended or revoked.
