14 July 2022
Zone Reclassification Main Street and Walker Lane
Dear Ms.Stowers,
Please reference Application No. PA-2000152(ZR)
We are writing this letter in response to the"Application Referrals"we received
in the mail to change the zoning on three(3)parcels for subsequent commercial
and residential development and use.
This development would add more to the horrible traffic and trash conditions that
have existed over the years since housing projects in our area started to develop.
Cars have been clocked going 90 miles an hour down Walker Lane. Our mailboxes
have been knocked over several times. This will only increase the access, plus
danger for the neighborhood.
We see no progress in this development other than more trouble for the
neighborhood, additional crime and trash. This is an agricultural area and has
seen nothing but decline since additional housing went up around the area.
We've had a death of a young man on our street from someone driving too fast
and passing on the double lines (which no one pays attention too).
The County added speed bumps to our street, but this has done nothing to deter
any of the cars from driving excess speed and using this street to access 99,since
they opened the new interchange back in 2016.
The three(3) parcels are Ag Buffers and should remain that way. It's not zone for
residential. Like we stated, there has already been a death and many near misses
on our street. You can only vision what it will be like with all that traffic.
PA-2000152 (ZR) Informational Letters 35
