The
second dwelling was never built, and the additional septic tank and filter bed are currently
not connected to any structures (Figure 2; Appendix B).
The proposed septic system is planned to be installed in the south-central area of the
subject property (Figure 2). The proposed septic system will consist, at a minimum of a
1,200-gallon septic tank with two compartments and a 240-square foot filter bed. The
septic system will be connected to the two-bedroom residence planned to be developed
on the property and will be utilized 365 days a year. The property owner may utilize the
existing 1,600-gallon septic tank that's currently not being used. However, a new leach
field (filter bed) will likely be installed.
3.1. The system is
permitted for a four-bedroom house and is utilized 365 days/year (Appendix B).
3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY
Two liquid waste septic permits are on file at the EHD for the property: 1) EHD Permit
SR0045424 on record for 462 West Joseph Road, Manteca, California, indicates that a
septic tank was destroyed and replaced with a new 1,900-gallon concrete tank with two
compartments and a 960-square foot filter bed in January 2006 (Appendix B). The new
septic tank was installed over 100 feet away from the existing water well located in the
northeast corner of the site. 2) EHD Permit SR0047180 on record for 462 West Joseph
Road, Manteca, California, indicates the new installation of a 1,600-gallon septic tank with
two compartments and a 240-square foot filter bed in June 2006 (Appendix B).
