The <br /> second dwelling was never built, and the additional septic tank and filter bed are currently <br /> not connected to any structures (Figure 2; Appendix B). <br /> The proposed septic system is planned to be installed in the south-central area of the <br /> subject property (Figure 2). The proposed septic system will consist, at a minimum of a <br /> 1,200-gallon septic tank with two compartments and a 240-square foot filter bed. The <br /> septic system will be connected to the two-bedroom residence planned to be developed <br /> on the property and will be utilized 365 days a year. The property owner may utilize the <br /> existing 1,600-gallon septic tank that's currently not being used. However, a new leach <br /> field (filter bed) will likely be installed. <br /> 3.1. EXISTING ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK USAGE <br /> The septic system servicing the existing residential structure (house) consists of a 1,900- <br /> gallon septic tank with two compartments and a 960-square foot filter bed. The septic tank <br /> and filter bed are located to the south of the structure on the property. The system is <br /> permitted for a four-bedroom house and is utilized 365 days/year (Appendix B). <br /> 3.2. SITE SEPTIC PERMIT HISTORY <br /> Two liquid waste septic permits are on file at the EHD for the property: 1) EHD Permit <br /> SR0045424 on record for 462 West Joseph Road, Manteca, California, indicates that a <br /> septic tank was destroyed and replaced with a new 1,900-gallon concrete tank with two <br /> compartments and a 960-square foot filter bed in January 2006 (Appendix B). The new <br /> septic tank was installed over 100 feet away from the existing water well located in the <br /> northeast corner of the site. 2) EHD Permit SR0047180 on record for 462 West Joseph <br /> Road, Manteca, California, indicates the new installation of a 1,600-gallon septic tank with <br /> two compartments and a 240-square foot filter bed in June 2006 (Appendix B). The new <br /> septic tank was installed over 100 feet away from the well at the site (Figure 2). <br /> Except for EHD Permits 74-599 and SR0005037-39 for well pump repair, well destruction, <br /> and well installation, there are no other liquid waste permits on file for 462 West Joseph <br /> Road, Manteca, California. <br /> 3.3. ON-SITE SEPTIC TANK REPAIR HISTORY <br /> There are no septic wastewater repair permits on file at the EHD. <br />
