A Hazardous Waste Aerosols and Flammables container, storing aerosol cans of Baker's Own High Heat Baking <br />Spray, was missing the accumulation start date on the label. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br />words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br />(contents), accumulation start date <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: The violation was corrected during the inspection by Kelsie O'Reilly, Assistant Store <br />Director. No further action is required to correct this violation. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Notes: <br />- A plastic bag labeled as Hazardous Waste and storing empty mini metal CO2 cylinders from the Starbuck's <br />whipped cream canisters, and an empty container for espresso machine cleaning tablets, was found behind the <br />hazardous waste storage area. According to Ron Lee, Safeway's Environmental Manager, the empty metal CO2 <br />tanks are sent to Safeway's Distribution Center to be recycled. <br />An inspection report was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection. The report was amended by <br />adding violation 101, and replaces the initial report on 10/23/2020. <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by 11/20/2020. <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead <br />of having them sign. Starting September 1, 2018, all in -office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate <br />($152).
