a ft
Participants will be directed to enter Central Valley Waste Services yard through
Gate 5 off Turner Road on the southeastern boundary of the facility. Traffic
directors on-site will conduct a brief survey of all participants. Participants will
then be directed to the material acceptance area where wastes will be unloaded.
Large loads will be directed to a separate unloading area in order to assure that
there are no significant delays in the unloading process.
Once unloaded, participants will be directed to exit through the same gate as
they entered. The traffic path to the exit will be clearly marked with cones and
barricades.
Prevention of Interference with Solid Waste Operations
Planning of the event has included provisions to prevent interference with normal
solid waste operations on-site. Interference will be minimized primarily by:
• conducting this event on a Saturday when solid waste operations are at a
reduced level;
• utilizing a secondary entrance (Gate 5) to the Transfer Station to minimize
interference with customers accessing the site via Gate 3 and Gate 4 for
solid waste unloading; and
• location of the collection and storage activities in an area of the facility
where it will be remote from most solid waste operations.
The location of the collection and storage activities is illustrated on the attached
Figure 1.
Please contact the undersigned at (209) 333-5611 or Chris Kennedy at (916)
202-7134 if additional information is required.
