The following language is proposed for a sign:
"The following Universal Waste are not accepted for disposal:
. Common batteries (e.g. AA, AAA, C, and D cell batteries, button cell batteries)
. Fluorescent light tubes, bulbs, and other mercury containing lamps (e.g. high intensity discharge,
metal halide, sodium and neon bulbs)
. Electronic devices (e.g. TVs, computer monitors, computers, printers, VCRs, cell phones,
telephones, radios, microwave ovens, answering machines)
. Mercury containing devices (e.g. thermostats, switches, thermometers, gauges, novelty items)
These items must be recycled. Ask gate attendant for Universal Waste Handling information."
Please review and advise if this is satisfactory.
Thank you.
Chris Kennedy
Regional Environmental Manager
916-202-7134
3/14/2006
