02 August 2018
AGE-NC Project No. 18-4471
obtained through Underground Service Alert. The EHD will be contacted a minimum of
72-hours prior to conducting investigation activities to arrange for inspection.
2.2. DRILLING AND SAMPLING
A total of five (5)-paired soil boring locations are proposed to assess potential
contamination from off-site sources. Each sampling location will each consist of 3-paired
soil borings that will be spaced less than 2-feet from each other (Figure 2).
At each sampling location, the first soil boring will be advanced to 15 feet bsg for collection
of 5-foot and 15-foot soil-vapor samples. The second soil boring will be advanced to 20
feet bsg for collection of 10-foot and 20-foot soil-vapor samples. The third soil boring will
be advanced to a depth of approximately 50 feet for collection of a grab groundwater
sample.
Procedures for advancement of soil borings and sampling are presented in Section 3.0.
2.3. LABORATORY ANALYSIS
Selected soil-vapor and grab groundwater samples will be analyzed by a California
Department of Public Health (CDPH)-certified laboratory for the following constituents:
• Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (gasoline, diesel, motor oil) by EPA Methods
8015M or TO-15; and
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in accordance with EPA Methods 8260B or
TO-15.
• Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFA's) in accordance with EPA Method 537.
• Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) in accordance with EPA Method TO-15.
Laboratory reports for soil sample and groundwater analyses, testing methods, laboratory
quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain-of-custody
documentation will be presented in a report with the findings and recommendations.
2.4. REPORT PREPARATION
Upon completion of initial field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will
be prepared presenting findings of the investigation. The report of findings will include
descriptions of work performed and results of sampling and analysis. Also, conclusions
and applicable recommendations will be included in the report. Reports will be in a format
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
