Accessory Structure means a structure that is accessory and incidental to a dwelling unit located <br /> on the same lot. <br /> ADU Checklist. A form created by the Community Development Department that shows all of <br /> the information that must be provided on plans submitted with buildings permit applications for <br /> ADUs and JADUs in order to have these plans accepted for a plan check. <br /> Efficiency Kitchen (also known as a"kitchenette" or"partial kitchen") means an area with a <br /> kitchen sink, cooking appliance and refrigeration facilities and a clear working space of not less <br /> than 30 inches in depth. <br /> Efficiency Unit means a small dwelling unit with a minimum floor area of 220 square feet and a <br /> kitchen or Efficiency Kitchen, living and sleeping areas, a separate bathroom, and a separate <br /> closet that meets all Building Code requirements for such units. <br /> Existing Structure means, for purposes of Chapter 9-832, Residential Accessory Dwelling <br /> Units, an existing Single Family Dwelling(including all fully enclosed areas such as a partial <br /> basement, attic, or an attached garage) or other Accessory Structure that can be safely converted <br /> into habitable space under building and fire codes. <br /> Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit(,also known as a"Junior ADU" or"JADU") means an <br /> Accessory Dwelling Unit that is not more than 500 square feet and contained entirely within a <br /> Single-Family Dwelling. A JADU may include separate sanitation facilities or may share <br /> sanitation facilities with the Existing Structure. <br /> Living Area also known as "habitable area")means the interior area of a dwelling unit used for <br /> living sleeping, cooking,bathing,washing, and sanitation purposes, but does not include <br /> a garage or any accessory structure and storage or utilityspaces and similar area that are not <br /> considered habitable spaces as defined by the Building Code. <br /> Manufactured Home means a structure transportable in one or more sections that is built on a <br /> permanent chassis and is designed to be used as a dwelling, with or without a permanent <br /> foundation, when connected to utilities. <br /> Public Transit means a location, including,but not limited to, a bus stop or train station, where <br /> the public may access buses, trains, and other forms of transportation that charge set fare, run on <br /> fixed routes, and are available to the public. <br /> Tandem Parking means that two or more automobiles are parked on a driveway or in any othe <br /> location on a lot, lined up behind one another. <br />
