Limited Site Investigation Irerracon <br /> Vacant Property ■Tracy, California <br /> November 13, 2020 ■Terracon Project No. NA197074 <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) were identified in the subsurface soils at the site <br /> and not completely delineated. <br /> The following scope of work attempts to address the SJC-EHD requests and requirements in <br /> associated with the Land Use Application process and requirements of the Surface and Sub- <br /> surface Contamination Report. <br /> 2.0 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Terracon's scope of services included completion of the following tasks: <br /> Performing pre-mobilization activities including public and private utility clearance, <br /> preparation of a site-specific health and safety plan, work plan, and obtaining a boring <br /> permit through the SJC-EHD; <br /> Meeting with pipeline technicians/representatives for both Crimson Midstream LLC (crude <br /> oil) and PG&E (natural gas) pipelines to have proposed soil boring locations approved <br /> before advancement; <br /> ■ Advancing 16 soil borings for the collection of soil samples from each boring; <br /> ■ Collection samples from identified stockpiles located at southern portion of property and <br /> from the area near the release and excavation; <br /> Field examination to document lithology, staining, color and relative moisture content; <br /> Screening sample in field using sensory methods and a photoionization detector (PID) to <br /> detect presence of volatile organic compounds (VOCs); <br /> Completing laboratory analyses of soil samples; and, <br /> ■ Preparing this LSI report. <br /> The objective of the proposed LSI is to assess the presence of chemicals commonly associated <br /> with the identified environmental site concerns at concentrations above laboratory reporting limits <br /> in the on-site Environmental Media <br /> 3.0 FIELD INVESTIGATION <br /> Terracon has a commitment to the safety of all its employees. As such, and in accordance with <br /> our Incident and Injury Free®safety goals, Terracon conducted the fieldwork under a site-specific <br /> health and safety plan developed for this project. Work was performed using the Occupational <br /> Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Level D work attire consisting of hard hats, safety <br /> glasses, protective gloves, hearing protection, and protective boots. In addition, a private utility <br /> location service was subcontracted by Terracon to identify the locations and depths of the various <br /> utilities located near the proposed borings. <br /> Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable 2 <br />
