Fremont Street Hi Megan, For some reason, I did not receive the updated referral from October 13th with the revisions. Sometimes the mail gets lost since these applications generally get mailed to our Administration office. Moving forward, I contacted the project design team (Mike Smith Engineering) and it sounds like the building footprint may have to change again to accommodate on-site storm water retention requirements. Regardless of any changes made, the Fire Department will not drive through a building to gain access to another building. The best scenario I see here is that we will park our rig in the parking lot and extend hose lines around the east and south perimeters of the building to gain access inside the rear storage building. The west side of the building is existing with a land-locked situation that we cannot access from anyway. As per Mike Smith Engineering, there will be several doors along the eastern and southern wall perimeters that we would enter into the building from. We will need to review the architectural plans once submitted for building permit to ensure we can access the building through doors along the east and south flanks of the property. See copy of notes from discussion with Steve Butler (in RED font below). 02-18-2021: Follow up to PA-2000216: Contacted by the Deputy Fire Warden for the county (Steve Butler) regarding access concerns for this project. He indicated that when he reviewed the plan, the proposed new building is not attached to the existing building and the plans call for access to the rear of the building to be achieved by driving through the 1
