AdvancedGeo
Environmental
27 October 2017
AGE Project No. 14-3154
Mr. Robert McClellon
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
Local Enforcement Agency (LEA)
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Subject: Site Investigation Work Plan Addendum
FORMER PILKINGTON NORTH AMERICA — LATHROP FACILITY
17100 Murphy Parkway, Lathrop, San Joaquin County, California
Solid Waste Information System (SWIS) number 39 -CR -0022
(APN 198-120-09)
Dear Mr. McClellon:
At the request Mr. Dana G. Parry of R&B Louise et al, Advanced GeoEnviron mental, Inc.
(AGE) has prepared this Site Investigation Work Plan Addendum for the property located
at 17100 North Murphy Parkway, Lathrop, California (site). This work plan proposes a
scope of work to further characterize and determine the extent of glass waste in the
staging area (stabilized waste handling area) and in the footprint of the proposed building
at the property. A location map of the site is presented in Figure 1. A full site plan depicting
site features (no structures are developed on the site) and proposed trenches for waste
characterization are presented in Figure 2. The waste removal locations are illustrated in
Figures 2 and 3, along with additional excavations proposed for further sample and
provided for additional waste characterization (sampling of glass cullet).
PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION
Soil borings/trenches were advanced within an area of the property where former glass
debris and dust waste streams were historically managed/treated and stored. Trenching
in the glass waste handling area footprint and surrounding area was conducted to
evaluate the limits of buried waste and provide for additional soil sampling. None of the
detections of metals exceeded hazardous waste criteria and the additional analysis of the
soil for soluble metals concentrations reportedly present at the glass waste handling/
burial areas have not been hazardous.
837 Shaw Road • Stockton, CA 95215
Telephone (800) 511-9300 • Fax (888) 445-8786
An Employee -Owners Company
