Lower Sacramento Road <br /> Lodi, California 95242 <br /> RESPONSE TO WORK PLAN ADDENDUM FOR WELL RADIUS SEARCH AND <br /> GROUNDWATER SAMPLING FOR VALLEY ORGANICS, INC., LATHROP, SAN JOAQUIN <br /> COUNTY <br /> The Regional Water Quality Control Board (Regional Water Board) staff has reviewed the <br /> Work Plan Addendum (Addendum) for Well Radius Search and Groundwater Sampling for <br /> Valley Organics, Inc. The Work Plan Addendum was submitted at the request of Regional <br /> Water Board staff in an email dated 20 December 2007. The Addendum proposed to <br /> advance three direct-push type borings to first encountered groundwater for the collection of <br /> grab groundwater samples beneath the site. The Addendum also proposed to conduct a well <br /> search within a '/2-mile radius of the site in addition to conducting a reconnaissance of the <br /> surrounding land uses with emphasis on surface water bodies including agricultural ponds or <br /> basins. <br /> Staff agrees with the proposed approach and concurs with the 20 December 2007 Work Plan <br /> Addendum.
