The initial unloading, sorting, and mixing
will take place on a concrete pad. I will adjust the OIMP to reflect an 8 inch cap
of either finished compost or overs and placement of the cap within 24 hours. And
I will add a debris box with a tight fitting lid for contaminants from commercial
food scraps.
Please let me know if I understood you comments correctly.
Thanks.
Matthew Cotton
Integrated Waste Management Consulting, LLC
19375 Lake City Road
Nevada City, CA. 95959
530-265-4560 Office
530-305-2060 mobile mattkmattcotton.com
Sent from my iPhone
On Dec 2, 2016, at 9:02 AM, Robert McClellon [EH]
<RMcClellon(cr,sicehd.com> wrote:
Matt, the 4-6 inches is not enough. 4 inches is like sprinkling it on there.
I say be consistent make it 8 inches and I do not care if it is overs or
finish compost. Oh any how soon will it be applied. I say within 24 hours
of windrow placement. After visiting the facility in Tulare there are
certain things that will need to be addressed. There are going to be
odor complaints. The sheer volume of material that will be stored onsite
will increase the odor load, hugely. The food waste which is mostly
garbage or some other recyclable waste and only about 20% food waste
needs to be sorted and the solid waste placed in a container with a
tightly fitting lid. The sorting must occur on a bermed concrete
pad.
