FIG. 5 <br />FIG. 6 <br />FIG. 7 <br />PRE-INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS, CONTINUED <br />COUNTERS/CABINETRY: <br />NEW ADA Requirement: Self-service counters must be at 34 inches High MAX <br />Compliance is mandatory as of March 15th, 2012 <br />Responsibility for compliance with the new regulations rests with the site owner/operator <br /> A cabinet with a suitable countertop (FIG. 5) will be required prior to the installation of your fountain <br />equipment. Do to the considerable weight of certain models of equipment and/or combinations of <br />equipment, care should be taken in the selection and/or construction of the supporting cabinet. The <br />Pepsi Beverages Company will assist in cutting your countertops and/or cabinets for the specific <br />purpose of installing a fountain unit. However, Pepsi will not assist in the drilling or cutting of any <br />stone countertops (marble, slate, concrete, tile), Conan or stainless steel. It is important to <br />understand what holes will need to be cut in your countertops, cabinetry and/or walls to ensure a <br />smooth installation. Hole/cut-out sizes are specific to different types of equipment. Consult with your <br />Pepsi salesperson in regards to holes, cut-outs and equipment weight specifications. <br />CONDUITS: For systems where the syrup supply is going to be remote to a back room a 4" to 6" <br />diameter watertight conduit or chase (FIG. 6) must be provided in order to run syrup lines. This <br /> conduit must be of the type approved by local fire codes. Where bends or 90-degree turns are <br />necessary (FIG. 7) an 18" to 24" radius is needed. Conduits may run under floors but overhead <br />installation is preferred to prevent possible contamination from underground sources. <br />ORDER PRODUCT: The installation of your Pepsi Fountain cannot be completed if product is not on <br />site at time of install. Including CO2. If your product has not arrived prior to your install confirmation <br />call, please let our equipment scheduler know at that time so arrangements can be made to get <br />product delivered prior to install day. <br />SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: <br />For bar kit installations, sinks with built-in/self-contained cold plates must be used. Drop-in cold plates are no longer <br />acceptable in most cities/counties. <br />If an ice machine is going to be placed on top of the Pepsi provided fountain dispenser, the following are the sole responsibility and <br />expense of the customer. <br />Dedicated electrical circuit for the ice machine. (Cannot be shared with fountain dispenser). <br />Certain ice machines will need an ice adapter kit to be placed on the fountain dispenser to allow the ice machine to function <br />properly. This kit should be purchased from an ice machine company and be at the location at the time of the fountain <br />installation. The kit is specific to the make and model of the ice machine as well as the fountain dispenser. Consult Pepsi <br />sales representative for specific compatibility. <br />ALL ITEMS LISTED ABOVE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SITE'S OWNER AND MUST BE INSTALLED BY LICENSED & <br />QUALIFIED PLUMBERS, ELECTRICIANS AND/OR CONTRACTORS. THE PEPSI BEVERAGES COMPANY DOES NOT ASSUME <br />RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ITEMS THAT FAIL INSPECTION IF NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED OR MISSING ALTOGETHER.
