The Spacer Posts go between the riser . wall and the Bracket. The bolt heads should be on the outside of the riser to seal the bolt holes in the riser. Tighten the bolts snugly so that the Bracket cannot be moved by hand. NOTE: Do not glue the Split-Flow Tee on the outside of k� the Miser until the slope of the discharge line has been ! determined. Attaching RSV to access riser I Step 5H: Determining Stinger Length The RSV Body comes standard with an 18" long Stinger Pipe. The Stinger is held in place at both ends with stain- less steel setscrews to allow removal for length adjustment. IMPORTANT: BE SURE TO CALCULATE THE PROP- ER STINGER LENGTH FOR THE SYSTEM! If the low liquid level is not specified for the particular installation, refer to page 21 in the Appendix for typical RSV and float settin-s for residential systems installed in two-compartment tanks. For Stinger Pipe lengths up to 24" long, the low liquid level will be approximately 5" to 6" below the top of the RSV Cage. (The low liquid level is the level at which 100% of the filtrate returns to the tank.) It is highly recommended to keep the stinger length less than 36". If the stinger length must be longer than 36", a non- standard RSV cage must be used. Contact your dealer or Orenco for more information.
