InspectlonReport Comments:
Quarterly compost inspection performed on this date and the following was noted:
1. Previous area of concern regarding the concrete blocks used as monuments has been corrected. The
concrete blocks are now 50 feet apart and colored so as to be more easily visible.
2. The treated wood waste (TWW)container does not have signage that details the start accumulation
date per Title 22 Section 67386.5 (b). However the operator presented a receipt showing disposal of
the TWW. The operator was told that receipts are sufficient substitution for signage on the container.
The start accumulation date will be the day after the TWW was disposed according to the receipt.
Ensure that all subsequent receipts are marked showing that TWW is the material being disposed.
3. The temperature and turning records now indicate when each windrow underwent the pathogen
reduction period.
4. The total amount of material on site was approximately 3,941 cubic yards.
5. The temperature of the green waste was 81 F. The temperature range of the ground material and
windrows was 128 F to 133 F and 109 F to 148 F respectively. The temperature of the pre-screened
product and the screened product was 110 F and 99 F respectively.
6. All on-site piles must be kept within the dimensions of 150ft x 250ft x 25ft. If any piles exceed the
given dimensions, the EHD will make a referral to the Manteca-Lathrop Fire Department.
