FRENCH CAMP October 15,2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> OBSERVATION: In the hazardous waste storage area,one 275 gallon plastic tote containing used antifreeze was <br /> missing a hazardous waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> (a)a generator may accumulate hazardous waste on-site for 90 days or less <br /> (b)The beginning of the 90 day period is determined as follows: <br /> (1)if the generator does not generate more than 100 kilograms of hazardous waste or one kilogram of acutely <br /> hazardous waste(listed in section 66261.33(e))or one kilogram of extremely hazardous waste during any calendar <br /> month,the 90 day period begins on the date the generator has accumulated 100 kilograms of hazardous waste or <br /> one kilogram of acutely hazardous waste or one kilogram of extremely hazardous waste; <br /> (2)if the generator generates more than 100 kilograms of hazardous waste or one kilogram of acutely hazardous <br /> waste or one kilogram of extremely hazardous waste during any calendar month,the 90-day period begins on the <br /> first date on which any amount of hazardous waste begins to accumulate during that month. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately dispose of the hazardous waste stored on site greater than 90 days in <br /> compliance with Title 22 California Code of Regulations. Provide a corrective action statement and a copy of the <br /> disposal records to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f)Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -One blue and one black 55 gallon steel drum containing paper oil filters had hazardous waste labels that were <br /> missing the accumulation start date. <br /> -One 275 gallon plastic tote containing used antifreeze was missing a hazardous waste label. <br /> In the shop: <br /> -One blue 55 gallon steel drum containing paper oil filters had a hazardous waste label that was missing the <br /> accumulation start date. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state,composition <br /> (contents),accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
