In the 1983 photo, grain silos can be seen on the adjacent property to the
southwest. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 1998 photo, four large structures and a manure pond can be seen to the
northeast of the Site. The Site appears to be planted with grain crops or irrigated
pasture. The Escalon Livestock Market can now be seen adjacent to the west.
In the 2010 photo, additional rural residences are apparent to the south of the
Site. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 2018 photo, compost storage is apparent on the northeast corner of the
Site. Several of the adjacent properties to the south and east are now orchards.
These photos are included as Appendix 3 of this report.
4.0 SITE INSPECTION
Live Oak inspected the Site on November 10, 2020. Photographs of the Site are
attached to this report as Appendix 2. Live Oak inspected the majority of the
perimeter of the Site, a well as the field roads crossing the Site.
The Site consists of open land crossed by field roads. At the time of site
inspection, it had been recently tilled. Although the property lines were not
marked, it appeared that a few manure/compost piles from the adjacent compost
business (Advanced Soils) were stored at the northeast corner of the Site.
An irrigation well was observed on the east side of the Site; some oil staining
typical of irrigation well operation was observed around the pump. Five pole-
mounted transformers were observed on the Site. Three of these were marked
with stickers indicating they are free of polychlorinated biphenyls.
The adjacent properties to the north and east of the Site were orchards. To the
west, open land and the Escalon Livestock Market were observed. To the south
were rural residences, pasture, and orchard. To the immediate northeast of the
Site was a feedlot and composting business. Two large above-ground fuel tanks
and several smaller mobile tanks were observed at this facility; none appeared to
be close to the property line with the Site. The compost piles on the Site
appeared to be part of the composting business based on this adjacent parcel.
LOGE 20-53 3
