Soil Suitability&Nitrate Loading Evaluation CTE Job #25-1084G
New Septic Leech Lines
21850 East Liberty Rd
Clements, California
January 30, 2021 Paize
Loam" in the East side of the site which is described as a cobbly loam underlain by weathered
bedrock. The septic tank absorption field rating for the above soils is indicated to be "very
limited" due to the soils generally have a very slow infiltration rate. Based on published geologic
mapping --"Geologic Map of the Sacramento Quadrangle" (CDMG Map Sheet 1A, 1981) the site
is indicated to be underlain by the Mehrten Formation (Tm). Such deposits are considered to be
consistent with the USDA soils on site and Hydrologic Class "D"—having very low infiltration
rates.
The percolation test holes (P-1 through P-3) encountered soil profiles consisting of sandy low
plastic clays with gravel (CL) to the maximum explored depth of 36 inches below existing ground
surface (begs). Soils encountered in the borings are considered consistent with published mapping
described above. The soil material type presented on the percolation test data sheets represents the
soil material type present at the depth in which the percolation testing was conducted. Percolation
data sheets are contained in Appendix-A. All test holes were backfilled and surface restored to
original condition upon completion of testing.
8.0 PERCOLATION TESTING
Our subsurface investigation included conducting leach field soil suitability evaluations via
percolation testing. The evaluation included the drilling and testing of three percolation test holes
performed at a depth of 36-inches, one at the proposed (P-1) back up leach field location, one at
the proposed (P-2) leach field location, and one at the proposed storm drain retention basin. The
field testing for the leach fields were performed under San Joaquin County EHD "Onsite
Wastewater Treatment System Permit" Number SR0083034. With exception of conditions
described below, the percolation tests were performed in general conformance with San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department procedures shown on EHD 42-01-002, Revised
4/14/2018. The final readings of the test were observed/inspected by a San Joaquin County EHD
inspector. Percolation test data is presented in Appendix A and a copy of the certified field data is
included in Appendix B.
,INC-
