Inspection reports have stated that the gas monitoring probes need to be
clearly identified in regards to which probes are shallow, intermediate, and deep, respectively.
Similar to the Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill, we propose to place different colors of tape on the
probe handles for identification. The following will act as a key for the probes at the Corral
Hollow Sanitary Landfill.
Shallow Probe Red
Intermediate Probe Blue
Deep Probe Yellow
* GW-7 has only two probes, so this well will not have a blue colored probe.
We hope this method of identification is acceptable and will resolve this issue. If you have any
concerns or questions, please feel free to call me at 468-3066.
WJ:cg
N:\WES\CH\GAS\PROBEID.WPD
LA 21847
