Geosyntec
consultants
greater than 90%. Laboratory completeness is a measure of the amount of valid analytical
measurements obtained from all analytical measurements taken for the project. The
laboratory completeness objective is greater than 90%.
2.5 Comparability
Comparability expresses the confidence with which one data set can be compared to
another data set measuring the same property. Comparability is ensured through the use
of established and approved analytical methods, consistency in the basis of analysis(wet
weight, volume, etc.), consistency in reporting units, and analysis of standard reference
materials. By using standard sampling and analytical procedures, data sets will be
comparable.
2.6 Sensitivity
Sensitivity is the limit to which a laboratory can achieve valid measurable results by a
given method using the standard equipment(both extraction apparatus and measurement
equipment) within the laboratory. Sensitivity is determined by calibration ranges and
method detection limit studies. If the minimum magnitude for a particular analytical
method is sufficiently below an action level or screening criterion, then the method
sensitivity is deemed sufficient to fully evaluate the dataset with respect to the desired
reference values. Sensitivity of analytical data is demonstrated by the laboratory's
reporting limits (RLs).
Quality Assurance Project Plan 3 7 December 2020
