In accordance with your written request for additional
investigation, RESNA Industries/WaterWork Corp. (RESNA) has been corresponding with Ms.
Peggy Southern of Thornton Operation Progress, Inc., to obtain authorization to install a
groundwater monitoring well on the property owned by the organization. The location of a well
on the property is necessary to provide a monitoring point directly downgradient of the
contaminant source. We have recently obtained authorization from Thornton Operation
Progress, Inc. to access their property for well installation. The letter of authorization was
forwarded to your office, along with well permit applications, under separate cover.
To further define the lateral extent of groundwater contamination beneath the site RESNA will
install three additional monitoring wells as shown on Figure 2. The additional wells will be
installed in accordance with our August 14, 1990 workplan arid our March 29, 1991 letter
addendum to the workplan. We anticipate installation of the proposed monitoring wells should
be completed by October 15, 1991.
Subsequent to installation, the wells will be developed and sampled on a quarterly basis, as
appropriate, along with the existing site wells.
GPLR0917.WP
