COPY
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING
SITE MITIGATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for
remediation of an underground leaking storage tank site located at
26080 Thornton Road, in the City of Thornton (APN 001-150-48) on
the southeast corner of the intersection of Thornton Road and
Stockton Street, has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Public
Health Services, Environmental Health Division. The plan is a
proposal for mitigation of hazardous substances which contaminated
the site due to unauthorized releases associated with underground
storage tanks which were located on the property.
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a tentative
determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State and
Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not
create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the
benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The corrective action plan is available for public review at the
San Joaquin/Stockton Public Library, 605 N. El Dorado Street,
Stockton, and Environmental Health Division, 445 N. San Joaquin
Street, Stockton, California, during normal working hours, 8:00
a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If a request by any member of the public for a
public hearing is not received by San Joaquin County Public Health
Services, Environmental Health Division within 30 days of
submittal, the tentative decision shall become final on that date
and time.
All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to public
Health Services, Environmental Health Division at the above
address. Questions regarding the procedures or specific site
should be directed to Eleanor Ratliff, REHS, at (209)468-3454.
Dated: February 27, 1991
By: Laurie Cotulla, Program Manager, Unit IV
Publish: March 21, 1991
Newspaper: Lodi News Sentinal
