PUBLIC NOTICE <br />NOTICE OF FINDINGS REGARDING <br />SITE MITIGATION PLAN <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a corrective action plan for <br />remediation of an underground leaking storage tank site located at <br />26080 Thornton Road, in the City of Thornton (APN 001-150-48) on <br />the southeast corner of the intersection of Thornton Road and <br />Stockton Street, has been reviewed by San Joaquin County Public <br />Health Services, Environmental Health Division. The plan is a <br />proposal for mitigation of hazardous substances which contaminated <br />the site due to unauthorized releases associated with underground <br />storage tanks which were located on the property. <br />San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br />Division, Local UST Oversight Program, has made a tentative <br />determination that the plan is in compliance with local, State and <br />Federal laws and regulations and that the resultant work will not <br />create significant adverse environmental impacts which exceed the <br />benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination. <br />The corrective action plan is available for public review at the <br />Thornton Public Library, 26341 N. Thornton Road, Thornton, and <br />Environmental Health Division, 445 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton, <br />California, during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If <br />a request by any member of the public for a public hearing is not <br />received by San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br />Environmental Health Division within 30 days of submittal, the <br />tentative decision shall become final on that date and time. <br />All requests for public hearings must be filed in writing to public <br />Health Services, Environmental Health Division at the above <br />address.
