o. 54 Forward 1993(C3) <br /> Diesel fuel should be stored in a manner which provides for secondary containment. <br /> p. 62 (H.3) <br /> Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> As a participant in the SJCMSCP, Forward will incorporate SJCMSCP guidelines developed <br /> to minimize effects of rodenticides to the garter snake, the brash rabbit and the Swainson's <br /> Hawk(Appendix A of the SJCMSCP). <br /> Identified in EIR: <br /> Rodenticides and methods of application used at the landfill shall be reviewed by a qualified <br /> biologist to determine if they reflect the most effective and safe methods for controlling <br /> rodents. That biologist shall make recommendations for improvement if needed. <br /> q. 78 (l.1) <br /> Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> The landfill supervisor will be responsible for providing overall site security during normal <br /> working hours. <br /> All areas and facilities, other than those expressly designated for use by haulers. will be <br /> considered restricted areas. <br /> Areas within the site where hazardous or suspected hazardous materials are stored will be <br /> properly identified and secured. <br /> Salvaging and scavenging will be prohibited at the landfill, except for authorized materials <br /> recovery programs. <br /> r. <br /> 80(l.3) <br /> Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> The project sponsor will continue to apply,to the entire consolidated landfill,the safety <br /> procedures currently employed at the existing Forward Landfill and described in the <br /> Workplace Injury and Illness Prevention Plan. The project sponsor will furnish information <br /> regarding proposed disposal operations and safety procedures at the Austin Road Landfill, <br /> and the proposed consolidated landfill,to the Lathrop-Manteca Fire District. <br /> Monthly inspections of all facilities for safety will be conducted in accordance with the Safety <br /> Checklist prepared by the National Solid Waste Management Association lMA) or other <br /> checklist of equivalent scope and detail. <br /> Safety meetings with employees will be conducted to disseminate safety information, in <br /> accordance with procedures described in the JTD. <br /> Personal protective gear will be provided for the safe handling of solid waste, as described in <br /> the JTD. <br /> s. 86(K.5) <br /> Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> Refuse will be compacted and covered as soon as possible after deposition to reduce <br /> amounts of blowing litter. <br /> Daily inspection will be conducted to control litter on-and off-site, including the North and <br /> South Branches of the South Forte of Little Johns Creek, approach roads, entrance facilities, <br /> San Joaquin County UP-00-7, ER-00-27orward, Inc. <br /> Page 12 <br /> Community Development <br />
