This Plan presents CQA activities for closure with <br /> geocomposite clay liner(GCL) as shown in the Amendment to the Closure Plan/Postclosure <br /> Maintenance Plan submitted in April of this year. Construction features along the California Department <br /> of Transportation (CalTrans) property boundary were designed specifically for easy incorporation into a <br /> later CalTrans closure project. <br /> As you know, the County believes that the responsible course is to proceed independently with the <br /> extension of the closure cap on County property unless directed otherwise by the jurisdictional regulatory <br /> agencies. Our present schedule anticipates completing the project by May 2009, assuming approval of <br /> the Closure Plan in early September of this year.
