1.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 1.1 PURPOSE <br /> This work plan presents the procedures for the installation polyethylene <br /> tubes within existing PVC pipes located inside the perimeter soil gas <br /> monitoring wells (SGW) at Foothill (FHSL), North County Recycling Center <br /> And Sanitary Landfill (NCRCSL), Harney Lane Landfill (HLSL) and Corral <br /> Hollow Sanitary Landfill (CHSL). Work to be done will be conducted by <br /> staff of the Department of Public Works — Solid Waste Division of the <br /> (SWD). <br /> 1.2 SITES I TI <br /> A. FOOTHILL SANITARY LANDFILL <br /> FHSL is located in eastern San Joaquin County at 6484 N. Waverly Road, <br /> four miles east of Linden, CA. The landfill is a single Class III Waste <br /> Management Unit on an 800-acre parcel. This Unit is comprised of Module <br /> "I", Module 1, and future modules. Future modules will overlap onto other <br /> completed modules, including Module "I" until final closure of the Unit. <br /> Waste discharged to the landfill includes commercial and household waste, <br /> construction/demolition waste, and agricultural waste. <br /> B. NORTH COUNTY RECYCLING CENTER AND SANITARY LANDFILL <br /> NCRCSL is located at 17720 East Harney Lane, approximately nine miles <br /> east of Lodi. It is a single solid waste management unit, designated Class <br /> III, accepting non-hazardous municipal solid waste and inert waste. The <br /> site is 185 acres in area, comprised of lined modules, each constructed on <br /> an as-needed basis. The landfill is expected to close in 2032, based on <br /> current disposal rates and current permitted capacity. <br /> C. HARNEY LANE LANDFILL <br /> HLSL is a single, closed, unlined Class III landfill located at 14750 <br /> E. Harney Lane in Lodi, California. The landfill covers approximately 127 <br /> acres, which consists of one 97-acre primary site and a 15-acre secondary <br /> site. The remaining property area is comprised of access roads, storm <br /> water retention ponds, setbacks for environmental monitoring, and <br /> firebreaks.
