Hazelton Ave. <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> CORRAL HOLLOW SANITARY LANDFILL, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY(39-AA-0006) <br /> REVISED ADDENDUM TO THE FINAL CLOSURE PLAN <br /> APPROVAL <br /> Dear Mr. Carroll: <br /> Staff of the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) <br /> Closure and Technical Support Unit (Closure) has reviewed the Revised Addendum to <br /> the Final Closure Plan (Plan Addendum)for the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill (CHSL). <br /> The Plan Addendum describes the extension of the closure cap on the northeastern side <br /> of the previously closed Landfill and addresses a few sections of the original Final <br /> Closure Plan that have been modified due to this closure cap extension. The Plan <br /> Addendum is prepared by San Joaquin County Department of Public Works and is dated <br /> October 26, 2012. <br /> The proposed final cap extension on this 1.6-acre area conforms to the standards <br /> contained in Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations (27 CCR), section 21090 with <br /> the exception of substituting geo-composite clay liner (GCL) as the engineered alternative <br /> to the prescriptive one-foot thick clay barrier layer. Therefore, CalRecycle staff approves <br /> the Plan Addendum. <br /> Should revisions to the Plan Addendum be required by the Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board or the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department, acting as the Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency, CalRecycle reserves <br /> authority to review and approve or reject such revisions. <br /> Upon approval of the Plan Addendum, CalRecycle staff requests that an electronic <br /> version (PDF Format) is submitted in addition to the already submitted paper hard copy of <br /> the Plan Addendum.
