Gordon Construction, Inc. (RJG) has been awarded the contract to perform the work for the <br />Extension of Closure Cap at the Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill, San Joaquin County Department of Public <br />Works Project Number 143515. The work, in general, consists of installing a final closure layer over <br />portions of the closed landfill, and other work including: <br />-Installing linear low density polyethylene geomembrane <br />-Geocomposite drainage layer <br />-Drainage Improvements <br />-Landfill Gas Extraction Wells and connecting pipe <br />This work plan focuses on the installation of the Landfill Gas Extraction Wells. Seven total wells are part <br />of the contract. All wells are within the limits of refuse at the closed landfill. <br />Location of the Work <br />The project site is located at 31130 South Corral Hollow Road, approximately 5 miles south of the City of <br />Tracy, at the intersection of Interstate Highway 5 and South Corral Hollow Road. A site map is included <br />in the Project Drawings which are a part of this work plan. <br />The approximate locations of each of the seven wells are shown on pages three and four of the Project <br />Drawings. <br />Procedure <br />RJG's subcontractor, Gulf Shore Drilling, will be using an excavator mounted, auger core tool will be used <br />to bore the seven, 24—inch diameter, extraction wells. A detail of the equipment to be used is included <br />in this work plan. All borings will be to the bottom of the refuse but no deeper than the depth specified <br />CA Contractors License No. 616851-A <br />
